Retrosaint is the moniker of singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist David Ross. Since debuting with Love Tremors in 2020, Ross has developed a signature style blending melodic tenor vocals, rhythmic rock piano, and heartfelt lyricism. His music has drawn comparisons to Relient K and the vocal stylings of Billie Joe Armstrong, with writer Andrew Daniels (Hearst Magazines) describing his debut as “A ‘Boys of Summer’ for millennials.”

A Belmont University graduate, Ross cut his teeth in Nashville’s music scene, performing as a drummer, keyboardist, and vocalist for various local acts. In 2016, he appeared on the pilot of American Supergroup, a nationally televised battle-of-the-bands competition. Ross partnered with Ken Coomer, original drummer of Wilco, to produce his debut EP at Coomer's East Nashville studio. The album intersects raw rock energy with emotive storytelling, with Coomer’s powerful drumming style giving depth to the project.

Collaborating with producer Jonny Lutz, Ross continues to refine the Retrosaint sound with their latest release, False Start. Randy Radic (V13 Media) calls the track, ‘The epitome of elegant, easy listening, conveying the luscious finesse of Americana merged with infectious yacht pop flavours.’ Retrosaint is set to release their next single, Silver Bullet, alongside a music video, in early February 2025.
